Il Ritratto di Dorian Gray

Luciano Regoli, madly in love with the volcanic art of Arthur Brown, took his first steps in music in the first half of the sixties with Bubble Gum. At the end of the same decade, still a 20-year old young boy, together with his best friend Claudio Simonetti – son of the famous composer Enrico – gave birth to Il Ritratto di Dorian Gray, directly borrowed from the Dandy decadent Oscar Wilde’s eponymous work. In the band also played drummer Walter Martino, who followed his father’s footsteps (Bruno Martino) and guitarists Roberto Gardin and Fernando Fera.

After a series of live dates the band split up, before releasing anything on LP.
